Hi my name is Denise and my platform is dedicated to women of deeper complexions moving through life at their own pace and making mistakes to learn and grow from. I use my many life obstacles as building blocks for the future and enjoy helping others do the same. I’ve always had a passion for being in front of a camera. However, growing up, colorism really tore through my self esteem. From family to peers ridiculing me for simply born a particular shade, I began to believe the insults. The journey to self love truly began when I was 25 living overseas, volunteering and blogging for the Peace Corps. Being in a country where dark skin was seen as less than beautiful taught me that my opinion of myself supersedes any societal norms!
After sharing positive experiences and learning to embrace my true self, I realized something that was just for fun grew into an amazing outlet to connect with others all over the world! Displaying an array of fashions, beauty looks, and self-improvement techniques, I work diligently and tenaciously to provide genuine and honest reviews while bringing the best out of others and encouraging people to love yourself inside and out! 💕
